Chaos and confusion have rocked the Roots Party of Kenya following party leader George Wajackoyah’s declaration in a night club.
Presidential candidate Wajackoyah has been on the receiving end a couple of times for showing signs of backing Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition.

Refuting claims that he supports Raila, Wajackoyah Wednesday released a statement through his spokesman Jaymo Ule Msee.
“Our attention has been drawn to a viral video clip showing our presidential candidate Prof George Wajackoya on the campaign trail addressing his supporters at an entertainment joint,” reads the statement in part.
Jaymo added,” The notion that Prof Wajackoya has endorsed Raila Odinga is a hopeless imagination”.
Jaymo said that the video was doctored to suit the narrative.
However, before the dust could settle, Roots party running mate who stole the hearts of many during Deputy President Debate, Justina Wamae confirmed that indeed Wajackoyah was pro-Raila.
“It is true the allegations that my principal and party leader is supporting Azimio, but we have not discussed that as a party; we have not agreed, neither have I been consulted,” she told Citizen TV.
She added that in an eventuality they must support a different contender, then her personal choice would be with DP Ruto’s camp.
“However, let me make it clear that if push comes to shove and am asked to support the other 3 presidential candidates who are our worthy opponents then; I, Justina Wangui Wamae, a youth and a woman of sound mind would support the contrary,” she added.
Could this be the end of the short life or Roots party?
