Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested 22-year-old Mulot man behind Ksh 45 million bank fraud.
Nelson Kipkemoi was picked by banking fraud detectives from his hideout in Mulot, Narok county Sunday afternoon.
Kipkemoi was linked to an underground web of fraudsters that has been siphoning money from bank accounts belonging innocent Kenyans.
The suspect is reported to have fraudulently acquired money from 481 customers with accounts operated by leading bank in the country and are on mobile banking platforms.
Kipkemoi will be arraigned at Milimani law courts Friday morning to answer to his crimes in accordance with the law.
Mulot for the longest time now has been housing mobile money-linked criminals who steal from gullible Kenyans through Mpesa and banks.
