Detectives Nab Kidnappers Who Offered Lift, Raped Woman

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation department have arrested three kidnappers who raped a Nairobi woman after offering her a lift.

The fruit vendor at City Park was offered a lift along Thika Road on her way to Nairobi town befor the journey turned sour.

“Innocently, the fruits vendor boarded the vehicle that sped towards Nairobi. However, upon approaching Kenyatta University, the vehicle took the service lane, made a U-turn at the Engen gas station,” DCI stated.

The three kidnappers; David Njoroge, 27, Livingston Mwangi, 24 and Justin Charles Nyaga, 24 years, contacted the woman’s husband and demanded Ksh30,000.

However, the husband contacted detectives who responded quickly and traced the criminals to Kabati in Kandara area, Murang’a county.

The 35-year-old woman was finally rescued but unfortunately, the miscreants aged between 24-27 had raped her repeatedly. She was first rushed to hospital for treatment as well as the suspects for the relevant medical
