Along the Naromorou -Nanyuki road on Friday morning, a school bus carrying 35 students was involved in an accident.
Eight students from the Mariira Secondary School were seriously injured when the bus overturned at Burguret Centre after the driver lost control on their way to Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia County for an educational tour.
D.r Mwangi Waihenya Laikipia County Director of Medical Services said that the 8 students have been taken to the theatre while some students are nursing minor injuries and most had shock and are undergoing counselling.
Located at Kigumo near Kigumo town in Murang’a County , Mariira is a Public mixed boarding sub county level school with an enrolment of about 384 students .
The doctor also added that the hospital is working hand in hand with the school to provide further information about the students health condition and also making arrangements on how to involve the students parents.
