The boy is still at Basongo Hospital,a private health facility in Kisii County. Upon medication the doctors found that one of his testicles was damaged ,this is referred to as ‘ testicular torsion’ hence causing them to carry out a surgical procedure in order to relieve the pain .

Testicular torsion occurs when a testical rotates ,causing the spermatic cord that takes blood to the scrotum to twist.

Police in Nyamira have confirmed that the boy’s mother had filed an assault report under the OB number 14/03/04/2023.Investigations are still ongoing with the aim to know the truth under which the teachers assaulted the boy.

The boy’s mother has appealed to the Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu to intervene in this case and establish those responsible for her son’s injuries.
