Grisly Accident In Naivasha Leaves Several Students Dead

Several people among them six students are feared dead following a grisly accident involving a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) and a lorry near Delamere farm in Naivasha along the Nairobi- Nakuru Highway on Tuesday, April 18.

According to a statement from Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru, the accident occurred when a Nissan matatu from SWAT Sacco ferrying students to Nairobi collided head-on with a transit trailer.

A similar report from the Kenya Red Cross also confirmed that the accident occurred a few minutes past noon the report also stated that among the passengers were 11 students and a driver from Mbihi Friends High School.

At least seven other students, who sustained injuries in the incident, were rushed to Naivasha County Hospital for medical services.

At the time of publishing this article, the police were already at the scene of the accident to clear the traffic.
