Embu man who was gunned down on the night of June 8, 2022 was in the radar of detectives for a long time.
Dennis Mbae Mutegi, alias Mbuyu, was Wednesday night sprayed with bullets on his way home in a horrific incident.

According to Nation, Dennis Mbae was battling court cases for drug trafficking, robbery with violence and murder.
His Toyota Noah, registration number KCX 559A, was sprayed with 20 bullets during the fateful day that took his life on the spot.
“I was home when the gunshots started ringing. I ran to the scene and found him inside the vehicle. He was badly wounded,” said one of the witnesses.
According to locals, Mbae was a suspected leader of a criminal gang was well known within the town due to his connections especially within police circles.
One of his clos friends was Constable Abdirahim Adow Abdulahi, Directorate of Criminal Investigations officer based in Embu, who was murdered in unclear circumstances in January this year.
