The best Rapper in Africa Khlaigraph Jones has opened up about the new wave of South African sound, Amapiano.
It is with no doubt Amapiano is taking over Africa with the style currently trending in Kenya, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
The three mentioned countries are trying their best to be part of the revolution of music and have had their artists making Amapiano sounds and collabos with South African musicians.
The likes of Diamond Platinumz, Harmonize of Tanzania, Brandy Maina and Cartoon 47 of Kenya among others have already showed prowess in the new sound and their songs getting good reception.
However, Rapper Brian Ouko Omollo alias Khaligraph Jones feels different about the new wave in which he said when the ‘songs play, he puts the off switch”.
Addressing South African Rapper Cassper Nyovest, he told him to get back to the game like his viral song, Tito Mboweni which did rounds on top charts in Africa.
The OG also talked about how he is not getting flowers he deserve in the Hip-hop culture. He mentioned his most recent Ordinare challenge project where he elevated the culture. In the same breathe, he thanked Homeboyz Radio present Miss Ruby V for her dedication to Hip-hop with her Uncut awards.
Talking about his Baby Mama, Khaligraph said that he will not respond to lies spewed on social media terming it as ‘one-sided’ story which he likened it to American Rapper Fetty Wap’s eye.
Khaligraph also did not miss to mention his long term rival, Octopizzo, who he said he always talks about who dresses better when he is challenged.
Their beef goes way back to the ‘Wapi’ hip-hop competition where he dethroned octopizzo. Speaking to Cleaning the Airwaves (CTA) last year, he said that Octopizoo hated him because he thought he was comment to take his spot.
