Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is set to drop three songs this Friday, February 11, 2022.

The campaign song will be among the anthems used by his Azimio la Umoja political outfit in their rallies across the country as he popularize his presidential bid.

The song is dubbed ‘Lelo ni Lelo” a rendition of the song by popular Kakamega based Benga musician, Emmanuel Musindi.

The song means Leo ni Leo, a new dawn in Kenya’s politics, Raila Odinga preaches in the song. The song has been playing in many Azimio la Umoja rallies including the Kasarani declaration where Baba announced presidential bid.

The song which is old will get a new life today as Raila is party of the artistry. Emmanuel Musindi couldn’t hide his joy as working with Raila came as a surprise.

“You can’t work on such a big project, which is the talk of town, and fail to be happy. I am delighted about this,” he told The Standard.

“This is not my first song as much as it is a big hit.

“I mean, today has just to be today. It can’t be tomorrow. Things must happen, and happen now,” said Musindi about the song.

The whole project was steered by Julius Owino alias Maji Maji, one of Gidi Gidi Maji Maji duo famous for Unbwoggable song took over political stage in 2002. Maji maji now works for Raila’s campaign secretariat.
