A Nairobi-based businessman has become the city’s newest millionaire after winning the Sportpesa Midweek Jackpot for Ksh 23 million. Stephen Ojwang, from Aboke Village, Siaya County, shone after winning a huge prize money.
To accomplish a rare feat, Gor Mahia super fan Ojwang, analyzed all 13 matches and correctly predicted the outcome of each. His decision to increase the number of bets played a big part in his success.
“I used to bet 1 or 2 to hit the jackpot and raise to 5 to 7 to increase my odds of hitting the jackpot. I’m happy to be rewarded for that,” said enthusiastic Ojwang’, revealing significant improvements in analyzing the league’s top-lit games.
A devoted Christian, his Ojwang’ pledged to donate a portion of his money to the church to fund several projects.
“My first donation will go to my church because I can’t win this without the hand of God,” he added.
He now has his sights set on his SportPesa mega jackpot of Sh293 million.
After Ojwang’s win, the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot resets to it’s Ksh10 million initial amount and increases every week until someone wins. Comprised of 17 select games, the Mega Jackpot will kick off on Saturday 1st April at 17:00 with games like Crystal Palace vs Leicester City and AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham FC.
