MC Fullstop, a veteran reggae and dancehall hype man in the Kenyan entertainment industry, has revealed that he will retire due to a serious illness.
He made this announcement on his social media pages, stating that he was diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) of the lungs in 2021.
The illness caused his left lung to collapse completely. In 2022, he was diagnosed with TB of the throat, which further affected his ability to speak, run, and walk.
MC Fullstop has been a prominent figure in the Kenyan entertainment industry since the early 90s, and he has hosted numerous reggae and dancehall events across East Africa.
He is also a media personality who has co-hosted several shows, including Riddim Vybz on K24 TV and Reggae Boyz on NRG Radio.
In his social media post, MC Fullstop expressed his gratitude to his fans and supporters for their love and prayers during this difficult time.
He acknowledged that his condition is irreversible, as unlike the liver, lungs cannot heal themselves. Therefore, he has accepted his condition and decided to retire from the entertainment industry.
His announcement has garnered sympathy and encouragement from his fellow entertainers and followers who have praised him for his contribution to the reggae and dancehall scene in Kenya.
MC Fullstop has asked his fans to keep him in their thoughts and prayers as he faces this challenge.
