Kenyan-Canadian lawyer Miguna Miguna has landed back in Kenya ending five years in exile.

The barister Thursday morning landed at the Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) welcomed by followers waiting for his return.
Miguna’s comeback comes barely a month after the new government was sworn in.
President William Ruto’s government cleared Miguna to travel back to Kenya by issuing him a Kenyan passport and withdrawing the red alert imposed by Uhuru’s regime.
“I want to extend my gratitude to the judiciary that stood firm on the side of the rule of law. I also extend my gratitude to Kenyans for voting overhelmingly for the Kenya Kwanza government because without it I wouldn’t be back home,” he said.
