The self-proclaimed Ghetto president was welcomed by Kieni MP Kanini Kega at the Jubilee headquarters as he officially shares the news to his fans.

“For the longest time, we have not had a leader who is born and raised in Mathare. I want to officially state that I am vying for the Mathare parliamentary seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
He added, “Our people have been crying over the same issues and because when you are led by someone who was raised outside, they fail to understand the sufferings of the people”.
Bahati who was raised in Mathare at an early age when his parents died has for the longest time given back to the community, and even adopted the name ‘Ghetto president’.
