Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader, Raila Odinga, recently made a statement regarding the resumption of anti-government protests.
According to Odinga, despite the expected negotiations with the government, the protests will still continue after the Ramadan period.
While the Coalition Party leader acknowledges the ongoing talks, he made it clear that the coalition supports holding demonstrations alongside the dialogue.
“Multiparty democracy and the constitution we fought for are under attack. Our electoral system is under attack,” Raila Odinga said.
This implies that the demonstrations will be used as a means of expressing the opposition’s demands and grievances during the negotiations.
The decision to resume anti-government protests is a significant development for Kenya’s political landscape.
The protests have been a common feature in the country’s political landscape, with the opposition using them as a means of voicing their concerns and making demands.
Odinga’s announcement indicates that the coalition party is still keen on pressing the government to address the issues affecting Kenyans.
“Mazungumzo iendelee na maandamano sambamba, dawa ya moto ni moto,” Raila said.
