Accompanied by Karua, Kalonzo, Wamalwa, and Babu Owino among other Azimio leaders, the Coalition leader kicked off Thursday’s protest in Embakasi’s Imara Daima.

Reports indicate that the convoy is believed to head to Jacaranda grounds where the leaders are yet to meet their supporters who have been witnessed to be set on the ground amid heavy security manning.

Reports indicate that the police had earlier on engaged in battles with the residents while trying to disperse crowds that started forming ahead of the speculated visit.

The convoy joined from Mombasa Road through Bunyala to Imara Daima where the leaders were received by overwhelming supporters.

Raila while addressing the supporters reminded them of the demonstration’s purpose being the high cost of living, server opening, and inclusive decision-making on electoral officials and further indicated and insisted that the protests will and must continue irregardless of the government threats.

This was seconded and stressed by Karua while giving her address and leading in chants of “Ruto must go.”
