President William Ruto has unveiled the new Directorate of criminal Investigation boss to take over from George Kinoti.
Ruto has appointed director of Internal Affairs Unit Mohamed Amin.
In a gazette notice dated October 14th, Ruto said Mr Amin will be the new boss after Kinoti resigned last month. Kinoti has already been given another job through transfer.
Mr Amin was among the top three candidates after National police Service interviewed the 10 candidates shortlisted in a marathon event at the Kenya School of Government.
