Beryl Awuor Onyango,a form one student at Bishop Abiero Girls Magwar School in Holo,Kisumu County,is reported to have collapsed after attending Tuesday evening classes before she was announced dead after an hour.
Mr Maurice Abeti ,who is the father of the deceased says the daughter had no other medical conditions except eye-related ailment. He goes on to say that he received a call from the school principal at 5.30 pm and was informed about his daughter’s state.
The family of the deceased is calling for investigations to reveal the truth behind her demise. They have hope on the post mortem results .
Mr Okulu, the school’s board chairman, says that the administration was informed about the student’s illness after the classmates reported the matter.
The school’s chairman adds on to say that they rushed her to the nearest facility before she was transferred to Kombewa Sub-County Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The case has been reported to the Ministry Of Education and her body has been moved to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and Referral Hospital.
