One of the three terror convicts who escaped from Kamiti prison vows to escape again if a chance avail itself.

Speaking to members of the public while appearing at Kahawa Law Courts, Musharaf Abdallah alias Alex Shikanda said he is in for many years and he can escape again.

“Nilikuwa natafuta uhuru wangu, nimekaa miaka kumi hapa ndio maana nikajaribu kutoroka,” Musharaf said on why he escaped.

Ask whether he will escape again, he said, “Ee lazima nitoroke, Si ninarudi jela miaka mingine, pamoja na ile yangu?”

Musharaf Abdallah Akhulunga alias Shukri, Mohamed Ali Abikar and Joseph Juma Odhiambo alias Yusuf were arrested by detectives in Mwingi East as they approached Ukasi.

The trio were on the run after a controversial escape from Kamiti which involved dislodging a brick on the wall of their cell.

The escape was linked to the rot in prison’s governance which saw commissioner general of prison services Wycliffe Ogalo getting fired by president Uhuru Kenyatta
