
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki and his Education counterpart Ezekiel Machogu have been listed as the best-performing CSs with 26% and 10% respectively.
This is according to a 2023 survey by research firm Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA).
In the report released on Wednesday 29th March 2023, CS Kindiki is topping the list followed by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu and Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi coming third with 4%.
According to TIFA, Kindiki has been ranked as the top CS by Kenyans because of his efforts to counter crime in the nation by trying to reduce banditry and insecurity.
In CS Machogu’s education docket, Kenyans have lauded his efforts that have reduced exam cheating and actualised the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). Kenyans have also commended CS Machogu for improving the education sector and ensuring a seamless 100% transition.
Down the list, Agriculture CS Minthika Linturi was ranked fourth at a 3% rating holding the position with Youth Affairs and Sports CS Ababu Namwamba.
TIFA also released its list of government officials that Kenyans rank as the worst performing. Defence CS Aden Duale, Trade CS Moses Kuria and ICT CS Eliud Owalo dominated the list all ranking at 2%.
Roads, Transport and Public Works CS Kipchumba Murkomen also joined the trio at 2%.
According to TIFA, The survey was conducted between March 11-19, with just over 2,065 randomly selected respondents.
