Azimio la Umoja executive director Raphael Tuju has now claimed that Deputy President and UDA Presidential candidate William Ruto was paid to support President Uhuru Kenyatta in the last two elections.

Speaking on Wednesday, Tuju refuted claims by DP Ruto that Uhuru should support him because he backed him in previous elections.
“He was paid. Let the people of Mt Kenya not think Ruto supported Uhuru willingly, this is a person of blackmail. I can confirm before a court of law how,” Tuju told Inooro FM.
Tuju also Wednesday night told Jeff Koinange that DP Ruto was paid in billions and cannot be trusted.
“A lot of people who supported Uhuru went out of their way to bring Ruto on board, for q man who says 7 billion only, your guess is as good as mine, but it was billions,” he said.
Tuju also went ‘macho camacho’ on DP Ruto by claiming that the second in command beat women, something that he has denied many times.
“We know women he has beaten and broken their hand and had to go for treatment in South Africa,” he added.
